There’s nothing quite like the tunnel run at Alpe d’Huez in France. The 200m long tunnel cuts straight through a mountain. Skiers and snowboarders are met with an insanely steep decent once they come out the other side.
The tunnel run is one of the steepest pistes (a ski run of compacted snow) in Europe. It’s so so steep that snow groomers can’t even even make it to the top section.
Malcolm Moore pays a visit to the tunnel in the video and gives us a first person view of what the tunnel is like. It’s clear this tunnel isn’t for anyone who doesn’t like small spaces!
Moore continues to show the run after he’s out of the tunnel and he wasn’t lying when he said it’s STEEP. We wouldn’t suggest this for someone that’s not comfortable on the slopes. Even if they are that drop off is enough to give someone vertigo.
