It only took two casts for Kai Anthony Richards to catch the biggest bass of his life while kayak fishing in Florida.
Kai and his buddies, Johnny Floegel and Eric Guarino, were fishing with Uncle Larry Outdoors when they decided to fish a hard to reach spot. They were hoping there were big bass in their future – their hopes were right.
Getting to the spot proved to be challenging because the trio basically had to kayak across vegetation that was so thick it was basically like boating on solid ground. They managed to make it into open water with a little hard work and persistence.
Every bass fisherman always hopes to snag the biggest bass of their lives whenever they make a cast, but it rarely goes their way.
Today was the day it was about to go Kai’s way. It looks like those Bassman Spinnerbaits they were using did the trick, because Kai hooked a fish he immediately knew was a monster on second cast. He immediately knows it’s a personal best bass as he gets close to bringing it in.
He reels it in and immediately starts letting out some epic shrieking battlecry’s that we understand all too well. Catching a dream fish is something that’ll make you react in ways you probably have no control over.
This is what fishing is all about! Just you and some buddies taking in a beautiful day and reeling in some fish. They may not have caught anything else that topped the monster bass from the beginning, but that doesn’t mean they had any less fun trying.
