Catching monster fish isn’t about the latest gear – sometimes all it takes is a tiny fishing rod.
That was the case for this father and his sons, at least.
They go on the prowl for massive fish after loading up on a boat with a tiny fishing rod in each of their hands. While toy fishing rods may not even make a top 100 list of best budget rods on the market, that doesn’t mean they can’t bring value to a day on the water.
After several attempts at making magic happen, it’s the 5-year-old son who casts the lucky line. He puts up a fight and so does the fish, but he manages to bring it in with a little help from his dad.
This incredible catch is certainly one that won’t be forgotten. It’s also a reminder to always be aware of what the fish you just caught is doing – the accomplished young fisherman got smacked in the face by his prized catch.
